Sloppy Joes

We put a simple spin on an American classic with bold Middle Eastern flavor brought to you by Saturday Sauce—made easy with just a handful of ingredients and endlessly customizable. This comforting, crowd-friendly recipe delivers juicy, saucy beef with minimal effort and big flavor.
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 16 oz. Saturday Sauce
- Burger buns (we like Royo burger buns)
- Bread & butter pickles (we like the ones from Good Girl Snacks which are inspired by Middle Eastern flavors)
- Optional: Extra Saturday Sauce for spreading, dipping and dunking
DIRECTIONS
- In a pressure cooker, combine ground beef and Saturday Sauce and cook on high pressure for 20 minutes. Once complete, sear for ten minutes or so, allowing the majority of liquid to evaporate.
- Toast (if needed) and cut your burger bun in half.
- Using a large ice cream scoop, place a scoop of your beef mixture on one side and top with pickles.
- Optional: Spread Saturday Sauce on the other side of your burger bun.
SUGGESTED PAIRINGS
- I suggest pairing this with a simple slaw (I made one with shredded cabbage, carrots, chopped fresh cilantro, cumin, lemon, vegan mayo and kosher salt).
