Saturday Sauce Rice

Servings:
Makes just under a three cups of rice once cooked- 6
servings (assuming about 1/2 cup per person).

1 x cup Saturday Sauce

1 x cup white Basmati rice

1.5 cups water

1 tsp. EVOO

Kosher Salt, to taste

 

  • Rinse your basmati rice under cold water in a fine
    mesh strainer until the water runs clear. Heat EVOO
    in a pot and toast your washed rice.
  • Once toasted, add water and cover with aluminum
    foil and a lid. Turn heat to medium/low for about 25
    mins until all water has been absorbed. Uncover and
    fluff with a fork once soft. Add Kosher Salt to taste (I
    prefer Diamond Crystal Fine Kosher Salt).
  • Add 1 cup Saturday Sauce directly to the rice and
    mix. Serve as a side with the suggested pairings
    listed here.
