These green beans are simply addicting, offering a perfect balance of freshness and acidity. Whether blanched or sautéed, they pair wonderfully with chicken schnitzel or meatballs, making them an ideal side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt

  • 1 16 oz. jar Saturday Sauce

  • 1 16 oz. bag Trimmed Green Beans

Directions

  1. Heat a pot of water on the stove and add the Kosher salt.

  2. Once boiling, add your cleaned and trimmed green beans. Boil for no more than 5 minutes.

  3. While the beans are boiling, get a bowl and fill it with ice and cold water.

  4. Once 5 minutes are up, put your cooked green beans into the ice water so that they do not continue to cook.

  5. Once cooled, drain and dry your green beans.

  6. You can either coat them with a generous amount of Saturday Sauce or lay them on a bed of Saturday Sauce, with extra sauce spooned on top.

  7. Alternative Method: You can sauté your green beans with extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil until soft and slightly charred, and then coat with Saturday Sauce.
